Rest days belong on the calendar like kiln days

Doshe Journal

Production days are easy to defend. Rest is the day people treat as optional, until the glaze is careless or the reply is sharp. Tired hands do not become more honest. They become faster and less true.

I write days off next to firing days, before the shop fills. If nothing can leave the table that afternoon, the shop says so. Buyers would rather wait two days than receive a piece that was packed in a mood I would not claim.

Handmade work on Doshe is a person, not a pipe. Protecting a rest day is not shrinking the business. It is how the next listing still sounds like you.
