Put a last-order date on the shop before Halloween

Doshe Journal

October fills with people who want a gift in the house by the thirty-first. Clay does not care. Dye does not care. A drying rack does not care. If you accept every “can it arrive by Halloween?” you will ship work you would not put your name on.

Pick a last-order date and write it at the top of the shop. Then keep it. The buyers who stay are the ones whose calendar matches yours. The ones who needed it yesterday were never going to be happy with a rushed glaze.

A closed door on Doshe reads as a maker with a calendar. Silence reads as a lost package. Put the date where a tired person can see it before they pay.
